A new phone with enough battery life to charge an iPhone 6s three times over has been unveiled by Chinese mobile maker Oukitel.
The Oukitel K10000 can keep running for up to ten days and features reverse charging smarts which means it can power up other devices, such as other smartphones and tablets.
The phone itself is unremarkable, with a sluggish quad-core processor and 2014’s Android Lollipop running under the hood. The screen measures 5.5–inches and has a resolution of 720p.
Storage wise, you get 16GB although microSD means this can be boosted to 32GB. Camera–wise, you’ll find an eight megapixel effort round the back and two megapixel number up front. There’s no 4G though, so uploading snaps may take some time.
But the big story here is the phone’s ability to stay the course for longer than the 24 hours most modern smartphones can barely muster.
The Oukitel K10000 appears to be U.S. only for now, with a price of $239. And while the feature set might not be alluring, surely stumping up extra in import duty so you don’t need to find a power socket every couple of hours is worth the hassle.
